The total production was 124 million liters of wine. Preceding winter very humid and not excessively cold. Lack of frost in spring. Hot and moderately humid summer.
Appearance: Clean, bright, medium deep colour, brick colour with orange evolution.
Nose: Elegant and complex, notes of clove and pepper, hints of cedar and a background of stewed fruit.
Tasting: Pleasant, fine and silky.
Aftertaste: Remarkable spicy hints.
Finish: Long and elegant, notes of nuts.
It matches with any kind of meat and mushrooms rice. Some tasty or oily fish such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheese such as emmental or gruyere.
